Welcome to the Vegan Ronin!
Who: Hi I’m Jhenn! I am a private chef and you’ll find me hosting supper clubs, catering dinner parties and special occasions. My background is in Japanese food, as a chocolatier, baker, raw chef, teacher, and as a head chef.
What: The Vegan Ronin focuses on creating vegan food organically and creatively. It’s about empowering you to make your own food choices; not being preachy about it. And if you’re not into cooking, well, that’s why I’m a private chef- to do it for you! Get in touch if you would like to book for a certain date. People previously have booked for birthdays, family get-togethers, business outings, dates, and surprise parties!
When: I’ve been vegan since 2001 and The Vegan Ronin food blog was started in 2006 as a way of documenting cooking and being vegan in Japan. Since then it has evolved with me becoming a real chef, posting recipes and vegan-related events.
Where: I started Choco-A-Go-Go, an artisan vegan chocolate company, in 2005 originally based in Ohio. I lived in Japan originally in 2002 (Osaka/Kyoto), and returned in 2006 working and cooking on and off until 2009 (Mie Prefecture). In 2010 I moved to London, UK and started the Vegan Ronin Supper Club in 2011. Most supper clubs and parties take place in London, but please get in contact for other locations!
